1. The Short Version (Human Translation)

We are indie developers building weird things for fun, not a giant tech corporation. We do not want your data. We do not track how you use the app. We do not record your microphone. Scream Cursor is designed to be an isolated, local containment breach on your machine.

2. Microphone & Audio Data

Because the Super Fighter Bundle uses Voice-Activated Ki Charging, the app requires access to your microphone. This audio data is processed 100% locally on your machine in real-time.

It is only used to calculate the volume threshold (how loud you are screaming) to trigger animations. The audio is never saved to a file, never sent to a server, and never listened to by a human. Your screams belong to you.

3. The Windows SmartScreen Warning (Blue Banner)

When you install Scream Cursor, Windows might show a blue "Windows protected your PC" banner. This happens because we are an independent project and have not purchased a corporate Extended Validation (EV) Code Signing Certificate, which costs hundreds of dollars a year.

To install, simply click "More info" and then "Run anyway."The app contains zero malware, spyware, or background telemetry. It only stalks your mouse.

4. Payments & Financial Data

We do not process or store your credit card information. All payments are securely handled by our merchant of record, Dodo Payments. We only receive the transaction status and the email address you provide at checkout so we can automatically send you your license key.

5. Website Analytics

Our website (screamcursor.com) uses basic Vercel Analytics to see how many people visit the site. It is heavily anonymized and does not track you across the internet.
